Steezy's Ray Vaughan's debut 4-track release is an exciting mix of old-school acid house, jackin house and tech house. On the A-side the title track, Stalker, is driving minimal tech house cut with a throbbing bass, wicked synths and mesmerizing key stabs that together create a slightly dark and stalker-ish vibe. Alternatively, Matthew Brian's remix (Matt's Creepin' Mix) is an excellent example of what we like to call 'jackin acid'. It certainly doesn't disappoint with it's creative and tripped out vocal samples, jackin beats and a 303 that will definitely demand dance floor attention! On the B-side Flashback brings us back to the early days of acid house. The 303 is a nasty, growling one that pairs nicely with Steezy's minimal use of percussion and classic 707 toms. Mike's Vox Edit from label boss, Mike Mapes, is a subtly different arrangement and has a slightly more minimal vibe with a hypnotic vocal hook.
